  • Are You Riding the Bus Or Parking in French Quarter

To the attendees of the coming event in New Orleans.
We need to know on Tuesday and Wednesday of the event, the two days that we are in the French Quarter, are you planning on riding the buses we have reserved or driving your car & paying for parking. The bus will take us from the hotel to the French Quarter Square in the morning & then bring us back at night.
We need to know how many for us to have the correct size bus.
If you haven't already done so please email Bonnie at bonben@yahoo.com to tell her your choice. Please do this ASAP
    THANKS

The problem is not how many places Bonnie needs to look

The problem is that out of 52 members coming only 22 have responded to the requests to let her know.

If you know someone going to the event ask them if they have responded to Bonnie's mailing.

        Thanks
        Mike

I sent Bonnie an email, but I didn't get a response indicating she received it. It didn't come back as undeliverable, so I'm assuming we are on the list.

Are you all going to try and meet up with us on Sunday morning? I am gathering numbers for the Camellia Grill.

Didn't know anything about it. Unlike pre-event plans in downtown New Orleans, all plans for our stay in Covington and trip across the causeway are posted for all to see:

                  http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forum...-the-big-teasy

We'll see you at the hotel or at the studio depending on when you leave and/or we get there.

This thread has really gone off topic. Bonnie is trying to get a head count of bus riders to the French Quarters and now its a head count of a Sunday eating group. That should have been a separate thread.

I thought an email went out to all attendees. I am thinking of Camellia Grill.

                        Hi TBN Friends,

There are about 15 cars arriving at the Holiday Inn on Saturday. The event starts on Sunday at 3 pm. If you are interested in meeting for dinner I have made reservations for 6:00 pm, Sat, Oct. 14 at:

                        LANDRY'S SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

                        8000 Lakeshore Drive

                        New Orleans, Louisiana 70124

Please RSVP to Ron McCloud - rmccloud@earthlink.net

They will accept separate checks and you can order from the menu, no restrictions for a group.

This is one of the areas we will not see during the planned events, so you might want to see Lake Pontchartrain and the boat harbor at sunset. It can be lovely.

Sunday morning could be a good time to see St. Charles Ave. There is a self guided walking tour of Garden District homes starting on Second St. in the Garden District. You can get the brochure in the Holiday Inn Lobby.

Places for breakfast in the Garden District.

                        opens at 8am.

It is a traditional breakfast spot on Carrollton Ave and St. Charles. Prices are very reasonable.

If you are looking for a Jazz Brunch (expensive and a dress code) you might like

You are right too many threads, Bonnie asked this on the original thread and sent a snail mail letter. People need to follow instructions. Planning an event is not a walk in the park.
