WOW...last time I saw something this bad was on a friend's car here in Phoenix - he'd regularly used a "conditioner" on his dash that prematurely dried out the plastic.

Cracked and faded dashboards used to be a common sight back in the 70's and 80's especially here in the southwest. Not really a common occurrence anymore which I attributed to better quality materials used by auto manufacturers.
