Well I have made it home safely to -21* and 6" of fresh snow at 11:30 PM. Roads were terrible in Kentucky this morning and I sat at a truck stop for 3 hours while plows and salt trucks tried to clear the roads, transports were stuck blocking traffic and tow trucks pulled them up hills. The remainder of the drive wasn't too bad. Thanks to Bill Coats for putting up with me over the last six days.

A total of 3,708 kilometres round trip.

I would like to thank thank everyone for their support on this my first trip on my own. It was nice to see everyone once again and I look forward to seeing you all again in the future.

I would like to thank Jeannie and David and Mike and Debbie for putting on such a great event. And Mike and Debbie for opening their home to allow us to view Mike's train set up.

    Again, thanks to everyone.

    Ted

Ted, it's a good thing that you Canadians are a hardy bunch. My blood is so thin now I don't think I could survive a winter in Chicago anymore, let alone Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Ted it was an honor traveling with you. (did we ever figure out who snores worse?) Great conversations on our twelve hours in your bird. The TBN network showed their colors in sharing their compassion. Sounds somewhat trite but they acted as much as family as good friends can be.

Folks Ted didn't exaggerate the ice in Kentucky. Never saw tow trucks pulling 40 foot trucks up just a small grade the powerful cabs couldn't navigate. As I navigated through to Ohio I thought of Ted fighting all the way up to the northern end of I-75. Glad everyone made it home safely. 60s to 50s to 40s to 30s to 20s and ice. If I could get 8 grandbabies to move, I'd be Spence's neighbor in a heartbeat.

Officially I wasn't there, but 1800 miles roundtrip for lunch.... and I'm back home.

Debbie and I would like to add just one thing..........when you do something for friends like the TBN folks, it isn't work, it's a pleasure.
Thanks all for the nice compliments.
