You can add me to the list of those who have changed color.
I replaced the sand top with black last year.
The sand color showed the dark markings from the mechanism inside.

Of course they are both black. All the others are in great shape, but two tan ones have been replaced.
      Mine will probably outlast me.

Yeh, if I can steal another Allante I'll have another. Thought this reference in an Ebay ad was relevant to this thread:

My 02 black top (37000 mi) will hopefully last a long while also. It looks as good as my 17 Mustang top.

Typo------- $ 1,200 I need to proof read before sending.

When they replace the canvas top do they remove the top and mechanism from the car or do they replace it on the car? Had some "fun" yesterday removing a convertible top, just curious.

I don't think they take it completely out of the car, but I know they have to take it apart in the back.

Ron; My top looks pretty good except for seeing broken threads on stitching around back glass and door opening, No leaks and good color.
Minimal shrinkage for age. Being a Fl. car since new it has had a lot of up and down use.
The $1200.00 quote was an Ash gray Hartz top installed. The Co. has a great reputation and been in business for 60 years.

Gonna try steam cleaning my sand top this year, think I saw the video of it being done on this site.
