  • Left rear axle shaft on right side?

I can only locate what is listed as a left rear axle shaft for my '65 at a scrapyard near me, looks the same as the right side I pulled. Are they interchangeable?

Reach out to this company in Portland, OR. Bird Nest 800 232-6378

They specialize in Birds from 1958-1966. If they can't help, I'll bet they know somehow some where your part can be found.

Alright I found a right rear axle, but out of a '66.

It looks exactly the same, I believe I was told before T-Birds up to '70 will fit in my '65. Not sure on that.

If it came from a '66 , make sure it was not a 428 engine but a 390 same as yours . The 428 had a 31 spline axle and you need a 29 spline .
