  • Would like some thoughts on Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires

I know there is numerous posts about tires, but none since late summer. Now that summer driving is well past us & we're almost ready to start again I'd to see some comments from those who have had experience with the Cooper Zeon RS 3-A tire.

Topics like wear, ride & noise interest me most.

This tire has been around awhile so if you know of a newer tire that is similar please tell me about it.

    Thanks
    Mike

Mike, I am away from home so I can not check for the Cooper brand but
I believe that this is the one I bought. (Ron recommended a Cooper that
I thought I was buying but bought another). I bought the one listed on TireRack as a summer tire only. (not even all seasons).

That having been said I have to say I installed just prior to driving to the NOLA event last October. They are absolutely the loudest tires I have ever owned. (91 cars and some owned long enough for multiple sets ).

If you don't drive in the rain or snow who needs "all season"?

Summer tires are not designed for use in low temperature environments. You will not get the same adhesion even if the road is dry. I used to switch between summer and winter tires for my daily. Got fed up with storing and changing. Now I just go with all season. When the snow is too bad, I just stay put for a day.

          Look at these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-New-235-5...tYikqK&vxp=mtr

I have been very happy with traction, handling, and road noise. These are made in Russia, but starting late spring the factory will be operational in Dayton, Tennessee. By the way, Walmart did have them on sale for $75 each.
