  • Who has seen this mod?

I saw these strips on the front and rear bumpers of a 2002 that was for sale in Kingsport Tennessee. First time I have seen these.

I saw no need for the reflector, what was that all about?

Maybe the reflector is covering some bumper damage

                Somewhat reminiscent of this
                posies-t-bird-concept-big.jpg

                and this

                Bumper.jpg

I attempted to use a set of Jaguar XType bumper inserts (also plastic, by the way) to place in the existing bumper grooves of the Retro, but the curvature
was too different and the inserts wouldn't yield to a different shape. Back to the 'board.

Greg, it's a hard thing to have to tell you, but I don't think Tommy T loves you anymore.

Come on, Gene, it's far from the worst thing ever done to a retro.

You are right Paul, it took me two or three looks to notice these. I wonder what the "POURINE" and symbol at the end is all about?

Pourine is an organic compound, C5H4N4, found mostly in meats. I’m sure that will clear up the matter.
