Marc, Just curious, why did you post that you would be selling some stuff and did not want any comments, AFTER you had already posted stuff for sale and said you did not want any comments?Quickdraw

Hi Marc
Last year i had a Ford armrest ashtray for sale. I was accused of selling a Chinese knockoff by someone who conveniently had an "authentic" one for sale for $5 less! That was really tacky!
Mine came from the Ford dealer and had the same part number! I left the person alone but now, will be listing it on Ebay with the part number.
I suggest you also consider Ebay as you will reach international buyers who may jump on your parts and have no problem with paying your prices.
Ebay will NOT tolerance people hijacking your posting to sell their own stuff. I have just a few really cool items but will be using both sites. This way, when they hijack it to sell their own stuff, I still have Ebay.
Thanks

Thanks for the tip. I have had over 700 transactions on E Bay as both a buyer and seller. Very few problems over the last 16 years. Also belong to a Corvette forum where I have met some great people who DO NOT highjack sale threads. This forum just seems to have folks with very little to do and hide behind a keyboard. I thank Spence for moderating this nonsense and for those that called out some of the troublemakers. I was trying to help here and just recover my money. I am not going to get rich or starve if these items do not sell quickly. They can stay in my garage for a few more years until I will have buyers lining up. Especially for my Lincoln LS struts and 3 piece windshield moldings. Those rims I listed here and did not sell, sold on Craigslist within 2 days of listing them. This stuff will go sooner or later.

Hey Harry, get a life and stay away from me. Enough already with dissecting my posts. Really, have you nothing else to do?Originally posted by Quickdraw View PostMarc, Just curious, why did you post that you would be selling some stuff and did not want any comments, AFTER you had already posted stuff for sale and said you did not want any comments?

I think the membership has dwindled as these are now 13-16 year old cars. Not quite the same level of enthusiasm anymore as when they were brand new. Those were fun times.Originally posted by steelblue5505 View PostI am stating my thoughts as what I see & read & watch our membership dwindle.

Yes, but those of us that still drive them and take long trips are very much interested in this car. I am even replacing the seats in mine. This year I will have reached the goal of having it in 48 states starting this goal back in Feb. 2002 before I knew it would some day be a goal to reach. Back then it was just a great car to have and drive. It still is.Originally posted by BirdsAndBugs View Post

I'm jealous of you retired folks that can do all that travelling in their T-Birds. I was 39 when I bought my grey Thunderbird as my "weekend car" in May 2003. I'm 54 now and I figure I still have about 11 more years before I retire.Originally posted by Gobird View Post

Looks like you shot yourself in the foot with your thread. Paragraph one talks about all the great people here and all the sales you have made here.Originally posted by Jerseyretrobird View PostI have decided that I am not going to be owning another Retro anytime soon, if ever. I will be posting my stockpiled parts in the classified section as per the forum rules.
There are plenty of fine folks here and I have successfully sold extra parts since I joined this forum. Many people here appear to really love these cars and I'd like to offer these items to those who really need them.
I am making this post here because I have observed that some people find it necessary to make rude comments when items are posted for sale. I am not interested in what people find on E Bay/Craigslist for lower prices. If you are interested, fine. If not keep scrolling. I tried to sell rims on here last year and was met with rude remarks and links to cheaper prices. What is the point? My goal was to help out forum members.
Then paragraph two berated the members and asked for no comments. You posted two items for sale and had only one reply. The reply was from me trying to HELP you post a photo. So far still no photo or even slight gratitude for the assistance offered. I guess you reap what you sow.

Sorry Gene can't feel sorry for you for one second. Would gladly trade those 16 years (my 70 to your 54) for working and enjoying the Bird as a week-end driver. Just looked up life expectancy tables. Damn for sure I'd trade those years after looking this up! Damn!Originally posted by BirdsAndBugs View Post

Guys we are making a mountain out of a mole hill here. List part, list price. If high it won't sell. If priced well it will. Seller can always adjust price if the market tells him (by no sale) it is out of line.Bill Coates-Canfield, Ohio

Gene, a little thin skinned for a guy in Jersey. Thank you for the resizing tip, but for some reason my Windows 10 will not allow it. Still getting used to W10. At this point I am not going to pay attention to any comments in this thread. This is way too intense to try and sell some car parts. To the folks that send a PM, I will respond with my parts and prices.Originally posted by 007Cruiser View Post
