I think it is not so much a question of undervalued as it is impracticality. While I don't work I do drive the car regularly and I live well outside of town so I put on quite a few easy miles on the car. It always gets a thumbs up or a positive comment of some kind. I have friends who love the car and at least one that would buy it if I wanted to sell it to him at market price which I don't. The car's appeal is to an older generation growing older and who wants the problems of an old car and who wants to stick it in the garage and look at it? Well, I will say I do exactly that sometimes. It always makes me smile when it is in the garage and snowing outside. Cars with many miles seem risky to an elderly buyer and the cars with low miles are not going to be seen as daily drivers. I think most people who want retro birds already have them.

Nice try. If you want me to share my opinion with you in PM I will, even though I have some doubt they are private or held private.

It will be interesting to see what it sells for. The pictures represent the car very well. However there are no pictures without the hardtop installed, so there is no way to ascertain if it needs a new convertible top. It is probably black but could be worn, hard to say.

Yes Rick low mileage is probably the most important factor in determining the price for the 2002-2005 Thunderbirds. Many years from now it may not be as important because the people buying them now as 14 to 16 year old cars, want that "almost new" mileage on the odometer. In 2006 I bought my 2005 with about 10,000 miles on it. Finding one like that today is rare but when they sell, they get almost 50% of what they cost when new.

Compare a comparable year Lincoln LS with the Thunderbirds. You'll see what the value of the Thunderbirds are by comparison.

As my Dad lay on his death bed, one of the last things he said to me, "Wished I'd got that Thunderbird". My reply, "We'll go get it", after a pause, he said "It's to late now".
I guess it don't matter what the cost, it's the value to you.

Did that Jerri. '03 Thunderbird retail is $14,600 with 60K and hardtop. '03 LS Sport V8 retail is $4325 with 60K and audiophile stereo, sunroof, and navigation. These figures came from NADA for New Hampshire.
