In Idaho, top down and windows up is far more acceptable when the outside temp is 50 degrees and lower, than it would be top up and windows up under the same circumstances. That is the true blessing of dual temp control and heated seats .Been there done that and will continue to do so as needed. LOL

It is a Felony in Mahoning County Ohio. But it is also a Felony to drop the top if not at least 70*.Originally posted by 11TH GEN View Post
It's not a felony here, however, you do have to go to traffic school for six weeks if stopped.

I never said it doesn't make sense. I assume you read my post since you quoted me?Originally posted by Brad View Post
If top down with windows up doesn't make sense to you, I'm guessing you drive at very low speeds on short trips...picturing you in the right lane with the flashers on driving 45 MPH when the speed limit is 70

I know that I’m new around here, but I would have thought that this comes really close to violating the terms of service. By the way, until now, my two cents about those who mock people for driving a convertible with the top down and windows up, never drove a convertible on a chilly day with the defroster pouring a curtain of warm air above one’s head. At least, in a two-seater. In a larger convertible, I agree that it’s ineffective and looks a bit silly. My Z3 had a net type of wind deflector that worked well. The portion between the roll hoops could be zipped down when driving with the top up or hardtop in place. It was a 1998, so clear plastic wind deflectors must not have come along yet.Originally posted by TEE4TOO View PostNo deflector needed, Just a ball cap that says " Make America Great Again"

Just a follow up, I didn’t mean to offend anyone, but I thought that car forums and clubs are supposed to be neutral zones where politics are left at the door. Everyone’s different, some people like to modify their cars, some don’t. Some like chrome everywhere, some don’t.

I doubt that anyone was offended. I can only assume that the powers that be determined that the remark did not cross the line. If someone picked up that ball and ran with it, I can assure you that the thread would have been closed.Originally posted by MikeB6 View PostJust a follow up, I didn’t mean to offend anyone, but I thought that car forums and clubs are supposed to be neutral zones where politics are left at the door. If indeed the moderator looked at that post and let it go it was undoubtedly because he felt no one would make two posts protesting that simple aside comment probably made in jest.Originally posted by 007Cruiser View Post
