I have an appointment for my 2005 at the dealership next Tuesday for some AC fan noise and some steering wheel shimmy. I have Premium ESP coverage on the Bird, so I was wondering, is there anything else I have them look at (or mention) for this 13 year old Bird, while she is in there and while I have coverage?

Thanks for any feedback... ~ Matt

Matt...only comment I have is that you state it's a 12-yr-old Bird. Was it sold in 2006?

Have them check all of the suspension rubber for deterioration.

My bad... I didn't want to throw it a Bar Mitzva - edited to reflect it's 13.

I thought perhaps its initial registration was in 2006. No worries.

I would have them check the struts, any suspension parts for dry rot and great thinking on the steering. I have my mechanic trying to figure out what is going on with my steering, not responding correctly. Good Luck. When were the COP's replaced last? Any transmission issues?

Every time I brought in my 04 under the esp I had them check suspension, rubber boots , ect, ect. They always said everything ok. But did get my trans rebuilt, rebuilt PCM, drive shaft replaced,( a scratch was causing a trans leak), throttle body replaced. ESP is gone now and hoping 4 the best

Well, I still have three more years on the ESP... so we'll see.
