My VMG with a splash of white!

Wanted to post some pics of Snowbird's hardtop and the white walls I yearned for installed. Love the look! Recovering from the flu ...hope everyone is staying healthy!!

Why would you just decide to rebuild trans? What was going on? I found out my trans problems was only needing a good fluid refill a couple of times.

Having problems with late shifts and hard shifting. I then started having a problem with reverse. Would not go in reverse easily and when it did it clunked hard. The transmission guy said there were a lot of metal shavings that he had to clean out. I actually wanted to have the fluid changed 3,000 miles ago but the two places I requested an evaluation refused. They felt there was a problem starting and recommended leaving the trans alone.

LOVE the two tone look! Whitewalls are the best! When I need tires again I think I will seek whitewalls for my VMG. Sorry about the transmission, that was a big expense.

Thanks to all who responded. The transmission has been repaired and so far so good. Nice to be able to drive and feel like the transmission is keeping up. To drop my trans and rebuild it was about a 5 day wait. Has a 2 year warranty or 24,000 mile ... all for the bargain price of $1,895.00. When I spoke to my daughter her Subaru transmission rebuild was a whopping $8,000! So I don't feel too bad. I think Thunderbird Specialties was selling a new replacement trans for $2,995.00 (I'm not sure if that included shipping). I have heard you are better rebuilding your own if it is still working. Not sure if our team of experts on TBN would agree, but that is the choice I made. Finally I have the car pretty close to the condition that I had hoped/dreamed about. Crossing fingers/toes that I have many pleasant miles ahead.

Car looks great and tranny cost is a heckuva good price IMHO.

and you are correct always good meeting Mrs. Carole Snowbird even if she brings Martin along.
