Ha, I've got a bunch of them. Here's one with a hard top relay with one of our Sooner Thunderbird Club members at the Route 66 Car Museum in Sapulpa, OK. Note the hardtop on my car is Merlot although the late evening lighting makes it look black:

That is a cool picture, now I have to go to Sapulpa! I wasn't too impressed with the Route 66 museum in New Mexico. Did get a "Mother Road" cap that I liked there.

When I bought the TR 2004 my wife said the EB 2005 had to be sold. It had 104,000 miles on it and a little hole in the driver's seat leather. I drove up to Elizabethton, TN and Ron switched out the Driver;s seat with another one (with the Sand Leather!!). I sold the car a few months later and the buyer paid $12,500 and said, " It looks like no one ever sat in the Driver's seat! " The Seat sold the Car! I really got lucky with the purchase of Roxy, which had only 29,000 miles on the odometer and happily paid $16,500 out the door. $4,000 cash difference and almost a new '04 (with a hardtop), my '05 came without one.

Cal, the giant pump is pretty cool. The museum itself is not that large, but does have some really nice cars. There are a couple of Chip Foose cars, the ex-mayor of Tulsa's baby bird and a super nice 57 Chrvy convertible with every available factory option from that year.to name few. It's definitely worth a trip if in the greater Tulsa area, but not something to plan a vacation around.

The '57 Chevy Bel Air really stokes the Nostalgia button with folks my age. I was 15 when they came out and the guys who were a few years older and out of high school, working and admired by us "yet to be drivers", bought 'em. We were so jealous of them. We still had to use Mom's or Dad's car if they let us. It's hard to be cool with a Baby poo Brown '55 Chevy sedan, Six cylinder, 3 on the tree, even with fender skirts. I tried to make it a little cool. At least it didn't have PowerGlide, yukk.

Right on both, ha. The last thing this place has with any regularity is threads that stay completely on topic.

Besides I'm doing what I can to provide good pictures and stories for the challenge. I've been trying to limit myself to one a day to keep the topic fresh on people's minds.

Anything else is just an added bonus. Who doesn't like a nice Thunderbird and a couple of cool Chevies?

Here is another top swap that we made last year . One from Chicago area and us from the southern Ontario area . We met half way and did the swap from the coral to the mint green . Top Switch.jpeg
