Last time I checked on this car it was stalled around 20K. I guess they must have arrived at common ground.
There was another Red in this auction with about 12K miles that sold about 25K. Wonder what the difference is? One would think that a virtually brand new 02 would bring 30K or more. But, reading the description, it does not mention the hard top or tonneau cover. Could lack of certain options be the story?
one thing I noticed in this auction overall was the number of cars that did not sell (The Bid Goes On). Either they were overpriced to begin with or the buyers in Phoenix are more discerning (tight fisted).
Part of the Cam Clark collection included a nice Neon Tbird sign. I saw the bid go to $200 and then it was removed from the bid list. Any TBN member the proud owner of this gem? I really wanted to bid on that one but my "In house Financial Advisor" advised against it.

discerning (discriminating) - by nature, we're not a tight-fisted lot, BUT we are discriminating enough to look for a bargain...and resist being taken (for a ride).

        Sorry, poor choice of words.
Was meant as a general comment on the auction not at Phoenix.

We evidently are cheaper yet in Oklahoma. At the Leake Auction in OKC 3 weeks ago a 2002 Torch Red with only 8K on it sold at no reserve for only $12K plus 10%. I'm sure that owner was very disappointed.

The one thing that is guaranteed in an auction is that nothing is guaranteed. I'm one of the masses that gets caught up in the auction fever and comes home with a pile of junk for twice what it's worth. Much to the dismay of my in house financial advisor.
