  • Cashmere 50th Anniversary #of 1500

I am trying to narrow down the # in the series of 1500 of my car. Does anyone have a VIN # with ending digits close to mine (104665)?? I know my car was produced on 1/19/2005 is somewhere between #110 - #133 I need help to get closer to my #

    Thanks!

Seems like I should know, but I don't... there are threads that list 007s and PCRs and their glove box number - is there a thread that tracks Cashmeres?

EDIT: Found them, The 007 thread: http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forum...wners-007-data

    The PCR thread: http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forum...-roadster-data

Duffy, as you look thru these note that the glovebox number is not in order with the VIN, or build date:

I have edited the above post three times but the changes do not show up, yes even after SAVE and page redfish. So here is the cut and paste

This is the only listing here that I know of that lists any serial # stats BUT vins are not associated with any of them.

            http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forum...-the-cashmeres

The only other suggestion that I can make is to visit the Thunderbird Registry and search on the cashmere editions since the body code in the vin for the cashmeres is unique ie. "69". Any owners there may have entered their serial numbers.
            http://tbird.info/

btw: All of our lists for the limited editions is in the Database forum. Easy to find if you scroll down the forum list far enough.

ok, just looked thru the cashmere link I posted above. I did find one with a close vin to Shannon's.

              this is
vin#4641. serial # 51 (this one was in North Richland Hills back in 2005)

I don't have a build date for it but quickdraw might be able to come up with when it was built.

Well, unless they had a three day weed end off on January 15, 16, and 17th (2005) which they did, so lets call it 4 working days.

Weed end? I thought they were built in Michigan not Colorado.

If there aren't any holes in the glove box where the plaque was originally attached, then the line person in charge of that little detail may have been asleep at the wheel after a 3 day weekend. In that case the missing tag makes it more rare than the ones with a tag, perhaps 1 of 1. I can just see it when the line is shutting down after the last T-bird goes through and that person notices one (or more) tags still in the box - oops, my bad.

I still say the door(s) were replaced. In the end, it really doesn’t matter.
