Harry, the first time I have seen that in print but I've believed that in my gut for a long time.

Mike, my friend you are one of Phil's biggest supporters and good for your loyalty. I have bought from him and talked to him at length about his personal demons etc.

He's the only game in town and those with enough $$$$$ are good to go IMHO. I've been part of a couple of situations on returns and defective parts and also IMHO, his customer service is horrible.

To all of you who want to make an issue out of all of this that began with a simple request for a coolant information label I will tell you YES I do support Phil & his business. After all where else can one find so many pieces & parts for 02-05 T-Birds.

Yes you can once in a while find the exact OEM part on eBay or even on FB maybe even CraiList but eventually these one or two of a kind will be gone. Then what? The cars are getting older the parts available are getting fewer.

Yes the prices are high, but maybe if the truth be known the price is right because of its fit into the time proven supply & demand. Just because you bought a 68000 units built nitch car & think it is something special does not make the after market of pieces, parts & accessories feel the same. If they did think like you all think the market would support those thoughts & your wants & needs would be quickly taken care of at prices you all think we're in line with your cash flow. But that isn't the way it is or ever going to be. The point is just exactly this, buy the part or piece at it's asking price & be done with it OR you could park the car & never drive it.

Also you do have another choice you could sell the car and all of this senseless conversation would be done.

And Brad if you so strongly feel that I am attempting to sell items here in this flow of posts then bring it to the attention of the administration. Maybe with any good luck the posts will be brought to a close.

Whenever anyone wants to give Phil credit for being the only game in town, I think of the Menendez brothers being credited for being orphans.

And every time I see a reference to those coolant labels for $69 I am reminded of Martin Shkreli boosting the price of the drug Daraprim from $13.50 a pill to $750 a pill.

What is it you’re trying to say?
You do realize that anyone who wishes can become a valid source for any product imaginable whether it be a medication, or maybe an airplane or maybe a different type of cell phone. Or some sort of accessory to your Weber Grill or maybe your Toro mower.
There is a huge cost of modeling, prototyping, tooling, molds, sourcing, advertising, and so much more that is involved in new product development. The list is almost endless.
And if done legally there is going to be royalties and license fees, possibly governmental fees and taxes. The costs involved in just having a business are very high. Another almost endless list.
Parts & accessories for 2002-05 Thunderbirds are no different. Ford wants their piece of the action. Ford licensed products are not inexpensive to produce due to Ford’s desire for royalties & their licensing structure. And Ford usually wants their money up front before the item is even manufactured or sold.

I am not telling any of you this to discourage you, but on the other hand I don’t see anyone willing and excitingly becoming a source for 2002-05 parts and accessories. In-fact I challenge any of you to do so, become a valid business that any of us would come to and spend our money on parts & accessories for the Retro. Otherwise what is your point?

Just take a wild guess, but how much do you estimate Phil spent on the cost of modeling, prototyping, engineering, tooling, molds, machinery, electricity, sourcing, advertising and paperclips for the coolant labels that he sells for $69? Is he making any money or are those his "loss-leader"?

You wrote those Thunderbird tips books that he sells, didn't you? I would be much more inclined to buy them if they had your name on them. As it is, it appears it's material he got from TBN and TBF...

Though I think they are written well & do contain a lot of great information especially to someone who is not the original owner. Or someone who has not had the opportunity to be on TBN starting back a number of years like before the site went through its crucial up grade. I think has become downgrade when consider all that has been lost.

Brad you have a over working imagination.
Anyone yes anyone can come on TBN as a guest and read any post they desire. They just can not post or write into a thread. Not can they use any of the features like Search.

As for payment from Phil now you really are exceeding your imagination, but keep it coming I finding myself laughing out loud at your ridiculousness. But I'm pleased you are having a good time.
