  • Countries where Thunderbirds sold new

Got a question... Besides the USA and Canada, in what countries were our cars sold new?
Talking to folks on a Jaguar forum and Australian guys say they never saw our cars when they were new.

Ford didn't make a right hand drive Thunderbird so couldn't sell them to Australia.

You're welcome, Newman. Here's an article that may interest you of a Thunderbird that made it to New Zealand and what the owner had to do to make it driveable in that country:

Interesting article, Dot. All it takes is money I suppose. The author had me confused when he discussed operating the soft top and needing the T tool. I read it again and I think he is the one confusing things.

Yes, he was confused on several things about the retro. Seemed to get misinformation about the car from some source.

Sometimes I get the sense that these reviewers never drive the cars. I see bits and pieces from other reviews repeated over and over.

There were 500 2003s and three 2004s sold into Mexico. Those sold into USA included territories (Puerto Rica, Virgin Islands, etc)

Nitpicking, I should not have read all the specs. I don't believe 16" wheels is correct.

Wow, that's dedication. Just changing the front struts to the Lincoln LS sport made a big difference in the handling of my 2005. The spring on those struts is a lot stiffer than the standard Tbird struts.
