Took a run in Thor to try to generate some FEM codes. Stimulated the economy last week getting the VAPS solenoid replaced. No codes showed!?

Hit double digits temperature today 11*C, so out of hibernation now. Give me a couple of weeks and we might even get to where the top can come off for the summer.

I am lookin for chores to do besides the yard and cutting up fallen tress, so I just ordered a BORLA system for the WW. Excited to see it and install it.

I uncovered the bird on the 17th of April, my 83rd Birthday, checked the tires and fluids and hit the road. Because of the virus, new license tags are not available but the government extended the expiry date for another couple of months but I was able to apply on line for a temporary tag, paid my $120.00, and will await it's arrival in the mail, that way I won't have to stand in line when the Government offices reopen. It was nice to hit the highway again, very little traffic and the bird ran beautiful just like a bird should. It is hard to say when things will return to some kind of what you might call normal in the country and I expect a lot of car shows will be cancelled so we will have to just drive and enjoy the pleasure, at least gas is cheap. Stay safe and take care.

Went for a beer run this afternoon, top down. It is 68 degrees outside.
I was loading the trunk and a guy asked me, "What kind of car is that?"

Susie and I decided to get out of the house, so we drove to a small town southwest of Phoenix called Buckeye. It's where my family lived in the 50's. It was the hub of the farming community and when we lived there, it was like Mayberry. Great memories - we moved out of there in November 1958 and moved into the big city of Glendale, another farming town. Glendale is a suburb of Phoenix, but only had 16,000 people in it when we moved there - today it's has close 300,000.

While in Buckey today, we stopped at a little cafe downtown Buckeye that is owned by a young man (45 yr old) who is the son of a boy I went to school with when we lived in Buckeye...snaps are of that little cafe: Cafe 25:35.

How cool is that? They won’t even allow you in a cafe here. Going stir crazy here. May take a ride to the beach for “groceries”.

Ordered a new Amazon Echo and had trouble connecting. Amazon now has ZERO customer support. I was just about to shoot it with my .45 when my daughter got it working.

NotU, AGAIN! The area you live in seems to have a problem with people being unable to identify with your Bird. What is that Randy, about the forth or fifth time you have been asked what your car is.?
I think it is time to get a big sign mounted, or Decal on the hood saying its a Bird! Glad to hear you are well, it must be the HOPS doing a good job of avoiding the Bug.

I have the Thunderbird script removed from my car so I get the question often. Last guy that asked was a real smart A _ _ trying to impress with all his car knowledge. Showed him the Bird nose emblem and told him it was a Very rare Pontiac Firebird prototype that was never produced due to the Company’s demise. Just a few built. Wanted a picture to show his buddies as he was sure they never saw one.....

Have seen the Bird only one day since Christmas and starting to get the top down itch. Article (forget where—-maybe Hagerty on line) yesterday said top down driving is not safe during the pandemic. Any one see the article as I didn’t read as headlines made me ill.

Bill, good question you raised about driving around with the top down.
I asked my son who is the COVID-19 coordinator for the City of Maryville, WA He said to go out & enjoy. But if at a stop & a car along side occupants begin to cough than putting up the window would safe guard us
He also said that while moving, the forward motion & air movement would be enough to keep us safe.

I put those sexy Thunderbird decals in the '02s hardtop port windows today; the ones that make the glass look like the decals are actually etched in the glass. A very subtle, classy mod. Wife guided me getting them straight on the portholes while I applied them from the inside sitting completely behind the seats. Getting out of there was no fun...

Followed that up by hanging a new 65" 4K Ultra-HD TV - mounting that on the wall was scary but man -- the picture is just outrageous...
                              Busy day.
