This is in an e mail I received from GEICO......Most all of them are offering something.

As part of GEICO's ongoing efforts to assist customers during this unprecedented time, we are announcing The GEICO Giveback which provides a 15 percent credit to all auto and motorcycle customers as policies come up for renewal, between April 8, 2020 and October 7, 2020.

Can you post a photo of that email. Like to print a copy of that to show my State Farm agent, maybe I could get a similar discount.

I wonder if you have to have one of those "snitch boxes " in the OBDII connector ??

If you drive the car less than 6,000 miles a year you can get FULL coverage for a fraction of the GEICO price on a collector car policy through the National Corvette Museum as I did...and with "agreed upon" value. If your car is totaled you get the FULL agreed upon value, not a depreciated pittance.

I understand, however, I no longer have a retro. Have been with GEICO 41 consecutive years and no one can get close to their rate ( in my case anyway )

And, as difficult as this may be to understand, a lot of people here have other vehicles in addition to a retro or collectible.

That is very nice BUT there is more to this than what has been said. To qualify for all collector car policies that I've looked into one must prove that the vehicle that you want to have collector status is NOT a daily driver, that one does have another vehicle to use for all occasions other than what the collector car would be used for.

All that is true, and the car must be garage kept....its just an option. I don't know how many use their retro birds for daily drivers; I certainly don't...
I have two other cars insured with GEICO - but they were off the reservation with their rates and it was NOT "agreed upon" value...

Florida sucks for any car insurance though - Central Florida has the highest ratio of uninsured drivers in the COUNTRY, nearly 1 in 3...

Mike that is for the most part accurate, however, exceptions can be at the under writers discretion. The 83 Mustang 5.0 Convert. I had was covered through Grundy and it was defined as a daily driver. ( meaning two drivers in the house and two cars ) had it been a 3rd vehicle they would not have had to make an exception.

                          11 Gen,
Thanks for that tip. I will have to speak with Grundy again. We have 2 vehicles, a 2015 1 ton pick up and the 05 Bird. There is just the two of us, both retired.
Have been considering purchasing something like a Subaru for us to run around in and turn Bird into our summer only ride.

I'm going to call NCM. Even with a $12,000 value on BB I could save almost $200 over Progressive Ins!
