Since we're discussing the cost of Auto insurance, many of the policies written have minimum liability coverage. When I had my own business I bought the highest liability my Insurer would write, $500,000 at that time. Then I added an umbrella policy for an additional $1,000,000. Umbrella coverage covers your Home and your vehicles so if someone falls off your roof painting the trim, as an example, you are covered in the event that you are sued. The best thing about Umbrella is it is not that expensive. Increasing your Auto Liability coverage isn't as much as you would think either. I have maintained that high coverage because of all the uninsured out there, and all the folks that you rely on to do things around your home.

Received this message from USAA today:

One result of the COVID-19 pandemic is fewer drivers on the road and fewer accident claims, so we're returning a portion of your premium to you. You will receive an auto policyholder dividend equal to 20% of two months of auto insurance premiums. There is no need to call or take any action. To keep it simple, the following amount will be credited to your next bill:

      $62.37

That's better than nothing! Thanks, USAA. We only have the 2019 SHO and the 2017 Escape on that policy. The T-bird is with Grundy.
