I was cruising the web market recently and noticed several highly rated dealerships had Retros with what many here would call " high mileage" ( 50-to 60 K PLUS at pretty healthy prices. I don't recall anything unusual like limited edition that wold set the cars apart. Maybe enough of us aren't selling to alter the supply and demand curve.

Very true Bill; and ,,,, the majority of retro's will soon be 20 years old and at a meager 5'000 a year that's still 1000,000 miles. The average on My '04 is less than 3 k a year and I feel like I don't drive it at all. That includes 7 years as a daily driver. Now it's hardly 400 a year,

Might be a good time time for some of our high mileage faithful to think about moving to a lower mileage replacement. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal indicated used cars are starting to pile up in huge numbers because the auctions are closed. The prediction was that a significant drop in values is coming which will also affect lease residuals, forcing the manufacturers to take additional write offs.

A quality remanufactured engine plus installation could cost nearly as much as a low mileage replacement Bird. Put your old one in a barn for your great grandchildren to find 50 years from now and auction on Mecum for a million bucks. On the other hand, please keep the rest of us current on your contact info in case we need parts.

Anywhere from $16,500 to well in the 20's

All were Classic car dealers and many had mileage over 60 K. Not one was a limited or low production color. I was impressed by how well these ads were written and the positive image they presented.. They would be very tempting to a buyer entering the market or not very knowledgeable about these cars. I am constantly being reminded how mane people know little or nothing about these cars, even ones who are in the car culture. I still think the biggest single impact on the sale of these cars was the exposure of the 007 in the movie.
All we need to double the price is a hit T V series staring a PCR or the like.

I hadn’t seen the movie when I bought my 007 in April 2003. I decided to see the film. Waited until it was 3/4 finished and then saw it for seven seconds. It wasn’t prominent in the film.

Ric, I think you read the mileage wrong - that black beauty was listed with over 110K miles on it??
