Two years? I'd have been happy to go back 2 months later. Thumbs up on Glacier, it's absolutely stunning. We had just come out of Yellowstone the afternoon before we stayed at the Yodeler. I'm so glad previous generations had the forethought to save these places for us to enjoy.

I think this is what you were talking about, look now as this was in 2009, Hope it is still there and just as immense! I put the smaller picture up first and then thought it needed to be bigger! image widget

That was a great trip, and I agree about Glacier, drove the Red Bus there in summer of 2005.

Lassen was one of my favorite NPs. It was not crowded and there were kids with snow boards having a great time in shorts! TWNW was an amazing trip.

Yep, The Yodeler Motel had some very unique rooms that were about 2/3 to 3/4 under ground level. Even with a window the rooms had a bit of a "cave" feel to them. They were nice enough and the place is a perennial TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner, it just is one of the many unique places that folks miss when they always stay in chain motels.

Trip we didn't take because we were moving to Fl. Think we made everyone after that.

Here's the original sticker and a couple of more pictures of the Yodeler before we move on to the next week's throwback, which came to me via another member who shall remain nameless for now.

was not around for this event, but we were planning on a trip that way this year before the virus. “Shstuff” happens. We’ll get there.

This throwback item was recently sent to me by TBN member. It came from a stop on a fun little event in his home state. I removed a little something from the picture that would be a clue to answers of the trivia questions.

                    IMG_4490 (2).jpg

                    1. Name the event and location.

                    2. Who is the most likely suspect to own this cap and submit the picture?

                    3. What is the name of the attraction this item is associated with?

                    4. Name 2 other events the planners of this event have had for TBN members.

                          • Looking for two actual events, not venues in the same event. You are right, though, a good time was had by all ... as always.

                              • Yep, supposedly 1000 different kinds. The professor and curator at Poupon U is very educational. There was something else interesting about the guy - any ideas what that was?

We still have some trivia to answer correctly. Several folls were at the event(s).
