I am organizing interest in driving to the VTCI Conference in Oregon next August leaving Fort Worth, Texas on August 9th and arriving in Portland on the 11th at the beginning of the conference. If anyone is interested in recieving information on this caravan and joining in contact me at j-g.garfield@att.net. The basic trip is planned but not specifics as to hotels or meet up places.

I have to say I admire your plans of doing almost 2000 miles in 2 1/2 maybe 2 3/4 days. I have done this trip. It is a long long sit.
I also admire your positive thoughts towards thinking that all will be open & back to normal by August. We who live in the Pacific Northwest do not think this will be the case. Both the Oregon & Washington governors are very reluctant to lift any Stay At Home guidelines. Social distancing and required face masks will probably still be enforced. Also wonder how the hotel, the banquet and the list of events will be able to safely accommodate everyone. It will take an incredible cleaning & disinfectant course of action on the Red Lion Hotel's part just to be ready to re-open. True this is 3 months away but it still seems like it could be postponed until next year.
But with that said, it would be wonderful if the VTCI event could happen. It would show we are a healthy nation once again.Mike
