Noticed you're an Auburn supporter from Fairhope. My niece and nephew are both Auburn grads. My niece is a pharmacist and manages the CVS pharmacy in the Target there in Fairhope. Her husband (also an Auburn alum) is a firefighter/EMT in Gulf Shores. My nephew works for the Defense Department in Virginia outside DC.

I don't know of any classic car insurer that allows the use of the car for daily driving or running errands; this comes up often on other vintage car forums I frequent and the folks will always say their "agent" said it was OK and I ask them to show me that in the written policy; which usually results in the sound of crickets... The cheap classic car rates are due to reduced risk. meaning the car has less exposure to the vagaries of modern driving than an everyday-use car.

Now, if you stop at the hardware store/eatery on the way back from a car cruise; that's a different beast.

After reading these posts I went with American Collectors Insurance with the suggestion coming from my normal insurer USAA and a friend from Jersey. Saved almost 40% and got declared values In the teens.

ok Issy..how much coverage and policy cost? I may change my 6k miles a year to 3k...I'm going to call NCM for a price difference

Oddly - I asked Adam Boca of NCM that sane question, and, at that time about two years ago, there was no premium difference between 3K and 6K mileage usage. He didn't have an explanation; but you can certainly ask again.

I have the PCR covered at 20k and the 03 at 15k, 2500 miles per year on each and total cost of $682.00 per year.

I have Hagerity on my Birds. Declared value and drive them as much as I want and where I want. My declared value is 12-15 thousand. Just have to have a declared daily driver that is not issured under the classic car insurance. Last year it was about 280.00 per car per year and this year it dropped to about 225 per car per year.

Seems like pretty tight amount of driving to limit yourself to. If we have a killer TBN event 1300 miles from your house, looks like you wouldn't be able to make it.
