Is the inspection that you have to do to get a license for the car similar to the "MOT" they have to pass in the UK? They measure the exhaust gas and if it emits too much they have to do a lot of engine work to pass. I think California has the most difficult inspection regime here.

When I visited family in Sweden they didn't have a bridge to Denmark, I took a train on a ferry boat to get to Malmo. That was 1964.

Your Evening Black Thunderbird looks great, reminds me of my first one, an '05 Black.

Congratulations. You sure did a lot of work and I enjoyed following your successes as you did it. Amazing you didn't give up, but you kept going to meet the goal you had in sight.
I expect you will enjoy being able to use it after all this time.

i have passed inspection incest before but it was puré luck because the FEM was broken but i touk a chance that time and it was working for that 20minutes at the inspection and when i got the keys back and i started the car the lights were dead hihihi but i felt this year that i cant have that kind of luck one more time so i decided to not drive it this year...
but it was too enoying to have a nice car that i cant drive

So how much have you spent to get to this day where you can now drive the car legally? I bet it's still a bargain.
Hihi Paul i have not dared to count how much but...
Anna is sleeping so i dare to make a gues
i gave 8300$ for the car and i think with all parts i think i have payed ca 13-14000$ total Including the price of the car. The worst thing is that i was looking for a family car but falled in love with this car

Our inspection cheks everything faultcodes, exhaust measures, tyres, corrotion, lights, belts , Brakes, Locks, identity, milage ....
So om always nervouse when in there

That doesn't seem too much to have a very unique car in your part of the world. You'll get that much fun out of it in no time. We've had a lot more than our $40,000 worth in ours, that's for sure.

Hope it's all fun for you for a good while.
