To shift or not to shift

I tried the SST in my '04 when I first got it home (2007) but can't say it thrilled me nearly as much as watching the Hallmark channel. The one time put it to use -- the SST, not the Hallmark channel -- was going thru the Great Smokies National Park on our way to The Big Teasy (New Orleans). I used it as a brake going downhill, obviously, to prevent toasting my disco's. ---Will
