  • Chance to buy a '58 Tbird hardtop

My brother in law is down sizing and has offered to sell us his '58 hardtop at a deal no sane person would turn down. He offered to give it to us but l will not let him do that. Car is in nice shape and think it could spiff up nicely. I had a '59 Bird convertible in '60 and really like the square birds. Need someone to talk me out of this.

Oh no, you should have it guest star on NCIS NO. It can take the place of the Cadillac conv. Just an idea..

Roger, trust me on this, the 1958 hardtop won't fit on your merlot....

Consider selling the Crossfire for use as an NCIS car bomb and buy the ‘58. Other than the Retros and the original two seaters, the square birds were the most stylish, Our neighbors bought a ‘58 convertible, and I was a very jealous 12 year old. The T-Bird generations in between were boring.

Don’t pass on what sound like a great opportunity.

Stylish cars, those square birds, Roger. If you have room, it would be a pleasant sight in your garage. Any pictures?

I had a 1960 back in the late 60s. Loved it. You should not pass this up.

                    Yes! Get it.
You can store here in my garage. I'll give you the door code for anytime you want to take it for a drive. We are out of the hurricane flood zones so it would be safely looked after.

I am starting to get prices and locating vendors for items on my shopping list so I can get a feel for availability of parts and their costs. Then talk to my guys at the shop I've used for the past 25 years to get a ballpark concept of labor costs.

When was the last time it was used or ran ? For some items, if it isn't broken, don't fix it. If you are keeping it , check out " Squarebirds.org " for all kinds of information and / or parts if needed .
