  • New owner, 05 MSB. :-)

My friend of 65 years just bought his first T-bird. We grew up from childhood together, raised our family's together, rode motorcycles, had sports cars,... You get the point. 7 years ago, my wife and I moved from Bellingham Washington, to Cookville Texas. Some 2,400 miles distance, but we stay in touch. I was telling him how much we were loving our T-bird, and all the particulars about our car. I got a call today from him about his new baby. Turns out, we have twins... First picture is his, the second is mine... Weird, or what. :-)

You own 11th generation Thunderbirds. You're on TBN. Its redundant saying weird. Nobody here isn't weird in some way.

But they are interchangeable. I took the 7 spoke chrome wheels off my '05, including the Michelin tires and put them on the '04 I bought. The '04 had the 16 spoke alloys and it had staggered tire sizes, 235s on the front and 255s on the rear. They worked OK but rotation was a problem so I advised the new owner to go back to 235s to solve it. He also found a rattle that I had. It turned out there were bolts on the X frames that needed to be torqued to the factory specs and that was the source of the rattle I was hearing. New owners should check that when they bring their Tbirds in for routine service.

That may be a possibility... We shall see. Hmmmm... Half way between NE Texas, and NW Washington? Any cool recommendations?

                  They’re fraternal twins.

Don't know about half way, but Las Vegas would be fun.

Half way... is Rock River Wyoming. Google the ripping action there... ;-) But actually Mount Rushmore is about the same for both of us... 1,100 miles for me, 1,200 for my friend. We shall see what transpires.
