I know our T-Birds can take a 235/55/R17 tire, but is there any way a 2005 could take a 235/75R17?

Here's a site to provide a visual and actual numbers for comparison ...
https://tiresize.com/comparison/
For your example, when your speedometer reads 70mph, you would actually be going 80mph. Your tire diameter would be nearly four inches greater than OEM.

Can't comment on whether an inch higher might make a noticeable difference in ease of getting in/out of the car. I am however wondering (concerned) what would moving the car's center of gravity up by an inch would do to ride stability, grip and handling.Originally posted by BLACK BEAUTY View PostI'm leaning towards a 235/60/17. About an inch higer(good) and at 70mph the actual is 72 (not bad) The fact the car would sit a little higher...easier to get in and out...thoughts?

Are you not the guy that lowered your car about an inch to “improve” the stance?Originally posted by BLACK BEAUTY View PostI'm leaning towards a 235/60/17. Try putting a firm cushion on the seat. Amazon sells wheelchair cushions in varying thickness that would be a help. Raising the height of my kitchen chair made a huge difference for me.Originally posted by BLACK BEAUTY View PostI'm leaning towards a 235/60/17.
