Motor Trend Magazine announces that the iconic 2002 Ford Thunderbird has been selected as the 2002 "Car of The Year".

The Thunderbird also received this prestigious honor on 3 other occasions: 1958, 1987 (Turbo Coupe) and 1989 (Super Coupe). It also was included in the 1964 Car Of The Year honors when the entire Ford Motors Co line-up received this award.
