I never bought any but I looked at them many years ago (probably around 05 or 06 I think). As I recall, they were around $2,200 for a set of 4. I opted not to buy them as some people had problems with the wheel essentially collapsing.Originally posted by Brad View PostDoes anyone remember roughly how much the Dayton wire wheels for the Retro sold for back when they were still available? 20220616_123424.jpg

Yes they did, they required a tube also. They also had issues mentioned in the above post, not Dayton. Fums6 , a deceased member here had a set on his red bird and looked greatOriginally posted by JerriLampon View PostMemories fade, but didn't Truespoke make a wire wheel for the 2002-05 Thunderbirds?Mike & Jana

He had a flat on the way home from Thunder Fever. We drove at 40mph 3/4 of the way home from Johnson City. He needed a rubber sleeve around the wheel befor the tube. One of the wire spokes put a hole in the tube which caused the flat. We did make it home safely!

He also had a problem at another Tennessee event. I believe it was TBN 10 Thunder in Nashville that we discovered the wires were coming apart on one, maybe two, of the wheels. He borrowed wheels from a member in the area to get home to Pennsylvania. Sure miss Bob; he was a great guy - retired Army Colonel as I remember.Originally posted by PaBlkBrd View Post
