Thank you for sharing. I have been wondering what practical options there might be to improve the engine performance a bit. Adding a Turbo seems to be an immediate thought.

Wondering whether anyone has taken measures to improve engine performance, what experiences they could share.

On my 2002 it will do 143 mph. No need to improve the performance of the Tbird. Did this back in 2002.

Mine is also a 2002. Other than tires, battery and fluids, everything is still factory installed 20+ years ago. Comparing it with a 2.3 eco-boost mustang, I wish it had a better acceleration.

Agreed! I only see supercharging as an option to bump the 'Bird's horse power, but turbocharging seems easier to evoke. Searches reveal no company providing or any adventurous LS or Jaguar S-Type owner attempting the maneuver.

Here are a few references to t-charge the retro-Birds, but not for the faint of heart or definitive instructions, it seems:

I define RETIREMENT as simply not working any longer.
