So good to hear from you, Liz. Hope you’re doing well.

Liz I made sure Ron was included in the conventions MIA for those that have passed. They will have a bagpipe playing Amazing Grace with a flag ceremony. I've got fond memories of you guys. Be well

For me, I was in the Safety Business and having an extinguisher is a safety issue. Boats require them!

The 55-57s didn't come with fire extinguishers either. It seems to be a rule that local fire marshalls expect in different states as car fires have occurred at events in the past. It's also been a rule for years in CTCI and other clubs. It's a fire safety issue.

Only judging I need is my own. If ours passes my approval, it's way better than average for age and miles. Rolling one off a trailer a few times a year doesn't really impress me that much.
Since I'm not a member of ITC, and VTCI I wasn't aware of their doings. I liked the fact that CTCI was coming to Florida. Both the president and our regional rep own retros. Our club the Cetral Florida Thunderbirds is putting on this regional convention. Over a half of our members own retros! Without us Ralph Cowell our president could not have done this...

              1. OH, CTCI members know Ron very well, I'm sure he would not have been overlooked in the MIA. Ron and I attended serveral of the CTCI events together.

Well the convention is over. I was surprised that Liz showed up for Ron's memorial and was glad to see her. Black Beauty won first place in the retro modified and also won the People's choice! Both Stewart Weirs merlot and Baby Blue also were winners. Next year CTCI will be in Iowa. Lots of work but rewarding...

I was surprised myself to show up. This was not planned, was in Florida to see my brother who is in hospice care. My nephews found out about the award and insisted that I go. I had to shop for clothes to wear as I had not brought anything with me. It was an honor to be able to present the Ron McCloud memorial award and talk to many people.
