Did you use the rim that the Maxxis temporary space came on?
    Steve
I did not . that's why the tire with air was a bit wider. when bought in 2018 my 04 came with aftermarket wheels so I got a similar looking wheel that also used the same lug nuts(not original ) that way I did not have to have an extra set for the spare
yes 2 years flies by that was a good time even though I was in a Subaru
    figured I needed something here

Now I am concerned that the new tire I bought (205/55/17) that I am getting put on my existing OEM spare tire rim will not work. I have an appointment on the 29th to get it installed. Any thoughts ANYONE who has changed the spare tire to the new size tire about the rim?

Steve, see my post earlier in this thread. It will work fine. Because of the "recommended" 5.5 inch wheel width of the tire, some major chain tire stores will not mount it on the 5 inch spare wheel. Take it to your local used tire mom and pop dealer and they will mount it for you.
