Has anyone else heard of a possible Tbird return?

    Just rumors and wishful thinking.

It's not a 97 Sport, it just looks like one!

It depends on the source of the rumors. The further away from Ford, the least likely.

It appears to be about an announcement from Ford's Jim Farley, CEO. video on Youtube.
Ford CEO Just Announced The Return Of The Ford Thunderbird! (youtube.com)

video made by "Clean Tech" so video is not direct from Ford.

Dumb Video, I see one interior photo of a retro but not one exterior shot of the 2002-2005 or did I blink and miss it! Ford too me would want to come out with a crossover or an SUV, they are not interested in sedans or coupes anymore.

They love the "Thunderbird" brand name more than the legend.

Right Issy...but doesn't Ford need to keep the name going? How long before that is an issue?

I watched YouTube and several others on bringing back the Falcon, the Maverick, the Capri, and the Toreno with the Thunderbird; that would be five cars to reintroduce. That is a big cost for any manufacturer, much less Ford. That looks more like a very late April Fool's joke.

I owned a 1973 Capri for about a year. I bought it new and could not keep it out of the dealer shop. I had 3 shift levers break, muffler hanger bracket broke and the crankshaft pully came of when the bolfs all shear. These were all know defects Ford would not acknowledge as defects>
