Thought I would start a new thread on this as many are frustrated as to what the cure is for these and other electrical problems on the retro thunder chickens...
The clockspring has 2 components and is a master control for many different electrical systems on your car from the radio buttons and cruse control to the horn, airbags and more.
So if you have a airbag light, your stereo is erratic, your horn seems to have a short or your cruse control is intermittent or not working at all here is the cure for the 2002.

03 and above may need a different part number, I just happen to have a 02.
