Although I have not visited the Nest in a while, I've been a busy car guy. Stories about my building restoration and car and memorabilia collection have been circulating the hobby. Hemmings Motor News, Hagerty Driver's Club (print and online) and now the Online publication "Garage Style Magazine" have taken interest in my story.
I'll be a guest speaker at the upcoming VTCI/CTCI Dallas convention in September 2025

    Please enjoy the read.

Very nice, Steve. You’ve been a busy boy. Don’t be such a stranger. We all miss your presence.

That's a great article, Steve, thanks for sharing! The work you did is something to be proud of. Your community is fortunate to have you.

Some time ago, I had bought an old Singer sewing machine treadle base, and someone had attached a piece of maple bowling alley floor for a top; I removed the wood since it had become warped, and was very impressed with its weight, which was substantial for a relatively small piece. I can't imagine how even 6-8 men moved the large pieces you spoke of! I understand that one square foot of it weighs about 9 lbs, so that's some serious weight.

Excellent article! My wife Karen and I and several TBN members were fortunate enough to visit this “Thunderbird Heaven” in August of 2023 during the Thunderbird Reunion in Dearborn. Steve has done an unbelievable transformation of this building and his collection of T-Bird memorabilia is beyond one’s wildest imagination!! Thanks to Steve for keeping the Thunderbird alive with this testimonial to our favorite car!!
