Judy,
So sorry to hear of Spence's passing and thus the coming passing of TBN. Spence was one of the early member's I remember before we even got our Tbirds. Hope all is going well with you.
This group has been such a part of our lives over the years. Loved meeting all the movers and shakers in the group over the years as the events were planned and carried out. Went to a number of them and loved them all PLUS,and yes, we've never been to car events that were like TBN's. and to DavidA, remember when you asked me many many years ago how and what to do to set up a car event? My response was to "Make it your own" and you and the other committee members did just that with Destin and later events.

First of all let me say that I had Spence on my prayer list for awhile and that I was sad to hear of his passing. I appreciate all both of you have done for the TBN community. On my list of Birds of the 48, I show you and GoBird as the 14th to get on the list. I know that without TBN we would not have made friends with so many from so many places or seen so much of the USA and Canada. I agree with every thing that DavidA said and it is not often that I would say that!!
I will finish with my blessings and prayers go out to you and your family.Birds of the 4815AGAIN has been in 48 States and 9 Canadian Provinces. Travelled many miles with great friends-- "Priceless"

Judy:
We were so sorry to learn of Spence's passing. I recall all of the local/Mid-Atlantic gatherings we planned before you folks made the move to Florida. They were fun and informational. Folks came from as far as Canada and the Carolinas to join us just for lunch! Then there were the many, many road trips. Some great friendships were developed and continue.
TBN has been the interactive source of information on the retro Thunderbird since the inception of the site as well as a source for many great friendships and adventures for me and many, many others. It was and will continuing to be a great go to site for those seeking information and community regarding these iconic cars until the site closes. I am so sorry to see it take its final flight as you state. Although other retro Thunderbird sites have developed on Facebook and elsewhere none have the feeling of community, almost like family, like TBN. I hope that those who have had the privilege of being part of the TBN family will continue to find a way to support and remain in touch with each other. I am hoping to maintain some communication with the Mid-Atlantic area folks and have posted this in the Mid-Atlantic thread.
Thanks to you and Spence for keeping the site and spirit alive. Lots of great memories that will be with us going forward. Take care. And keep the Faith.

So So Sorry to hear of Spence's passing, May he rest in peace in God's house. I am not a original TBN member, having bought my bird from the original owner in 2016. I truly hate to see the site close down as it has continued on so many years as a tribute to those members, like Spence, that helped make it the success it is. There are other Retro T-Bird forums, but there is not another TBN. I wish I had the computer skills to pick up and continue the site, but I do not. Let's not lose the site or the memories it has created. We owe it to the new Birders that fly into the nest seeking advice and friendship. I will gladly donate financially to keep the site alive.

Maybe another web developer can take over the site. I'm on a couple VerticalScope sites. They are enormous (1000+ sites) but don't have a T-bird site.Originally posted by BillyL View PostSo So Sorry to hear of Spence's passing, May he rest in peace in God's house. Judy,
I am so sorry to learn of Spence's passing. Thank you for sharing. My deepest condolences to you and all. The great friendships and memories made over the years would not have been possible without TBN. It was a blessing to find this community in 2006 and I sincerely appreciate all the work that went into providing this for everyone.

We are so sorry to hear this news about Spence. Thank you so much for everything you and Spence have done for this site, it’s absolutely amazing what you have created here. From an amazing group of people who came together to celebrate a special car, to an amazing group of friends and events that will go down unmatched In Thunderbird history. We just can’t thank you enough for the opportunity and the memories of a lifetime. May Spence and TBN rest in peace and may their memories be eternal.
May God bless you and your family.

Judy,
So sorry to hear of Spence's passing. May he rest in peace!
Judy, Thanks for all you have done to keep him and TBN running over these years. We know it was not easy.
We fully understand why you are closing down TBN. It is a lot of work to keep it up and running smoothly.
TBN was wonderful site for past 25 years, when the cars brought us all together. We met so many people on the site and at events. Because of TBN, we became the T-bird Family throughout the nation.
I have to say that DavidA's comments are right on.
Best wishes for you in the coming years.Jerry & Kim's

Judy, so sad to hear about Spence! Barbara and I have had alot of fun with the group, and I've gotten a ton of advice and fix-it info from TBN. We bought our 04 Merlot used in 2012, and we immediately joined TBN since it was (and still is) the best retro Tbird group and resource around. Spence and TBN will definitely be missed!
