  • They never heard of the 007 Thunderbird!

It never amazes me what little people know.

That is, the existence of the 007 Thunderbird.

I've only had this car a year, and actually haven't had it on the road that often, the wife and I are real busy, but, in my everyday travels, I come across other owners of T-Birds, like we all do, who never heard of the 007 Thunderbird.

Take today for example. I meet a women with a 50th Anniversary yellow Bird. This was her second Bird and she said it had to last. Her first must have been a daily driver. Shame on her.

Anyway, I mentioned I had the 007 Thunderbird and she looked at me like I was a kook out of some feature film.

I explained a bit further mentioning James Bond and Halle Bery's coral colored bikini. Now she looked at me like I was, well, she locked her door and started to put up her window.

I explained further and suggested she Google "Thunderbird 007."

I hope she does, because she's from my home town and I'll probably run into her again.

It boggles the mind how a fellow T-Bird owner would not have heard of, or know about the Coral 007 Thunderbird?

Yes, and unfortunately, this has happened many times. I find other T-Bird owners who know nothing of this 007 Thunderbird. Imagine?

Have other 007 Thunderbird owners experienced this phenomena?

    Just curious.

    Charles

And I'm at a lose as to why some people call the 50th Anniversary Inca Gold T-Bird a yellow Bird.

I don't know the numbers right off hand but I think there were fewer Inca Birds made then there were 007 Birds. Both are nice but the numbers don't lie.

And it boggles my mind why you think your 007 is any more special than my Thunderbird Blue, or the Inca, or the Whisper White, or the Torch Red, or PCR, etc, etc!
I'm sorry but you would have a lot more fun on this site if you would just accept the fact that you own a Thunderbird, its a car for hell sakes, no better, no worse than any of the rest of ours.

Lady 007 - Contact Rick @ World Class Wheels. However, he my have trouble getting a single. Another option would be to call Bill Jenkins @ Team Ford in LV NV. You can find Rick and Bill by doing a search. Bill Jenkins gives TBN members a discount so he should be able to better the $900. price.

OK, now you have done it - you have hurt my feelings big time; no mention of THE Thunderbird. Ya know the cashmere.

Cashmere???? Oh, you mean the white Tbird.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble but the only true special Thunderbirds are the ones that carry the Thunderbird Blue color. You don't see a Thunderbird yellow, or Thunderbird red, or Thunderbird black now do you???

WHITE????? Someone needs to tell my Ford dealer! When I took Moondoggie in for the 10K checkup last week, they listed it as "cream"!!!! I looked at Don's records from when he owned it...color listed as "G4"! However...when I registered it here in VA in June, the only color choice anywhere close to Cashmere was....WHITE!
Most folks just say..."what color IS that?" (and that's before they ask what kind of car it is!)

Bursting the bubble again - BUT the only truly special Thunderbird is the one (or two) sitting in each owners garage/driveway. Soooooo that would make the count at over 60,000.
