  • Leather or Pleather

Having difficulty determining what is real leather from the pleather. Was applying leather conditioner to the seats of my 03 which I know are leather. Not sure about the back of the seat, headrest, and center arm rest. Would appreciate someone advising me what's what and how to tell the difference.
    Thanks,
    Santini

Only the facing surface of the seats, Bottom, & Back, are Leather. ALL the rest is "pleather".

Generally speaking (especially with furniture) the leather is anywhere your body comes in contact with. On a couch for instance the top of the seat cushion, seat back and arm rest is leather and the sides of the cushion that touch each other, the sides and back are all vinyl.

With the Tbird I assume the door armrest is pleather but I don't recall what the center arm rest is

Do not forget the steering wheel cover.... it is leather (except the accent painted wood on car where that applies).

I realized that the material around my brake was definitely pleather once I saw the big RIP in it!!! This upset me but I try not to think about it too much. That stuff is not the best as it cracks and whatnot.

I always though Pleather came from a vinyl cow.

Some of you lads and ladies are real comedians. Was in an Autozone store today and found at least one product that the manufacturer claims can be used on both leather and pleather.
