VOGUE skinny whitewall

I see that Vogue makes a skinny whitewall tire (looks about 1/4 to 3/8 inch wide), part # 1-1235-991 in a 235/55R 17 size. Has anyone seen this tire on one of our retrobirds?

I have them on my 04 since new Duke. They are mounted on Dayton wire wheels. I really like them on my black/sand combo. As you know, they are one size up from the OEM size, which I think fills out the wheel well and looks much better than the stock ones.

Earl, I'm a bit confused. Are you talking about the Vogue whitewall with the gold stripe like the ones on my car or the single narrow white stripe?

You might be correct Ron, I forgot Vogue makes a thin whitewall only.

Go for it Puf... + / - $250. a tire. But keepin mind you would have to go with a 235X55 17 for they do not come in 235X50 17 and I do not think they are speed rated tires but I do not think you will exceed their capibilities.

I don't think you have to pay that. There are a few places other than the car dealerships that you can get Vogues at a better price. That's what I did and saved quite a bit.

YOU GUYS AIN'T GONNA BELEIVE THIS BUT MY 84 YR OLD MOM HAS THE SAME VOGUE TIRES THAT BROTHA JOHN (JAB) HAS ON HIS BIRD....SHE HAS A MERCURY SABLE BOUGHT ABOUT 10 YRS AGO, CAR CAME DECKED OUT WITH THAT PLUS A THICK CREAM , GUESS SMOOTH VINYL TOP, AND A PRESEDENTIAL PLAQUE ON EACH SIDE...

ANYWAY, THIS IS THE SECOND SET SHE HAS...ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE FIRST SET, TO ME THEY WERE CRAPPY TIRES...EVEN THIS NEW SET PURCHASED ABOUT 2 YRS AGO, ALWAYS NEEDS AIR IN THE TIRES...SHE DON'T DRIVE ANYMORE , HER 82 YR OLD BOYFRIEND DRIVES...NOW IT IS POSSIBLE THEY GO INTO CURBS, OVER CURBS IF YOU GET MY POINT...

I THINK THE VOGUES ON JOHN'S CAR LOOK ALRIGHT CAUSE ITS BLACK SO THE GOLD STRIP AIN'T SO BAD ... BUT ON A DIFFERENT COLOR BIRD NOT SO SURE..YOU HAVE A THIN WHITE WALL...THEN THE GOLD STRIPE...THEN WHATEVER COLOR YOUR BIRD IS...BUT I GUESS ITS A MATTER OF TASTE...I WOULD PREFER THE LARGE WHITE WALLS ON MY 007 EDITION AS THE INTERIOR IS WHITE AND THE HARD TOP IS WHITE...
