OK, the date is set. Let's meet at Biff Buzby's on 6 February, 2009. I'll be there at about 5:00 PM. I'll try and stake out a row so we can park together. There is a Denny's, a Whataburger and Biff Buzby's for food. Folks also bring coolers filled with their favorite frosty beverages.

I have heard a few comments expressing interest in getting together in San Antonio or elsewhere in Texas. I'd like to suggest the possibility of a local gathering at Biff Buzby's in San Antonio. This could be a good way to judge interest in the possibly a bigger event later.
So anyway more about the subject line, Biff Buzby's. It is a local hamburger joint in NE San Antonio that hosts a Cruzin' Night every Friday. The parking lot adjacent to Biff's will start filling up around 6:00 PM. I've gone there several times with my 57 Buick Roadmaster 75, and once now with the PCR. The cars always vary, but you can usually count on Hot Rods, Classics, Corvettes, Mustangs. It always changes. One night I saw a whole row of Jeeps from the local club. Another night I saw a bunch of Mini's. I'm sure a row of retrobirds would be a hit.
Biff's will be busy and there will be a long line. There's also a Whataburger right there too. Lots of folks bring their own coolers filled with their favorite frosty beverage.
It would be an easy and fun way for those in and around San Antonio to say hi.
    What do you think?

No date proposed yet. I was just testing the waters for interest. Let's see how many think they might attend and then float a few dates out there.

Great idea Dave! I think this would be great as an initial meeting of SA area T-Bird owners. If there is enough interest then we could meet on our own for dinner or a cruise.

Count on me to attend. This Friday's weather does not look good, but you know what they say about TX weather.

I have heard from a couple of other SA owners and one Austin owner with 2 T-Birds that are also interested in meeting. I'll send them a PM with this URL as a reminder.

Yeah, this Friday is not so good. So how's this? Anybody that is interested, send me a PM with the dates that work best for you. Say over the next 6-8 weeks or so. I'll see which date works best for the most folks. Then we'll make that our date. Of course you know what they say... that you can never make all of the people happy, all of the time. Well we'll just find a date that fits best. Where the most folks are able and likely to come.

                Dave,

Was suprised to see Biff's in this forum. I cruise there about once a month and as you said, you never know what you'll see out there. It ranges from primered junk yard dawgs to '09 Challengers, and just about every decade is represented.

Hollar when y'all might go out there. I'll hit the birdbath and help represent us!

By the way, do you know about how many of us there are in the SA area? It seems like I can go a month at a time without seeing another Bird.

May all your lights be green!

Some of us in Houston and Austin would also be interested in a Friday nigt get together if we can establish a solid date. San Antonio is a cool place to spend the weekend.

                  Thanks,

Here in northern NJ I would love for a cruise night to be 'around the corner'. Unfortunately it will be late April before we can count on a good day. Too much snow on the ground and waaaay toooo cold.

Our cruise nights are Saturdays from May-October at the Chatterbox in Sparta. Not many birds attend, but if any of you are in the area, lets see if we can get together once the weather breaks.

                            Dave,

You can count on me to be there. I have gone before to Biffs. Last year we had gone to Cruise night in Castroville on the 2nd Friday of the month and met very few other T-Bird owners.
