CASHMERE ON CBS NEWS

Was just watching the news with Catie Couric and they had a segment about the large amount of auto dealers closing their doors. They interviewed the owner of a Lincoln-Mercury dealership in Tempe,Az and as the camera panned the showroom, low and behold there sat a 05 Cashmere Bird. A rather pleasant sight.
Do any of our members know about this car?

I saw that, too, Ron. I think I found the dealership online, but they only list a 2002 White TBird in stock. I thought it was a Cashmere as well. I'll get a better look when the replay comes on a little later.

I just watched the replay and was unable to determine for certain whether the one in the background was Cashmere or White. Maybe if someone saw it in HD, they might could chime in.

I saw it in HD and while at first I did question if it was a WW, it was so fleeting it was hard to tell. At least they are babying it and have it in the show room.

Watching "WORST WEEK" last nite thought I saw a NM in the forground of a shot twice. Silver top black body but did not show porthole, just driver door & hood.

Could you see the front of the car? If the grill is chrome, it' a Whisper White. The Cashmere's grill is the same color as the car.

I'm pretty sure the grill was painted,that is the first clue that I thought it was a cashmere. It was a quick shot so I could be wrong. I'm sure someone will find out for sure.

I just watched the CBS News replay online & it looks like the front is not painted. But on the laptop it's a bit hard to tell.

Watching the video Vickie posted, it looks like white to me, in one part you can see the the car next to the SUV, the seats in it do not look like the light color in our Cashmeres. Look black to me, and the shot where you see the grill, looks like a darker interior, hard to tell with glare on windshield, but looks dark to me. I think it's white. Either way it got a deserved parking space on the showroom floor.

Thanks for posting that story Vickie.

It looks like the whisper white Thunderbird the dealership had on their website as the grill looks like it's chrome to me.
