all official ford parts are the same... the factory tops are just pulled from a "bin" and put on the car. there is a minor adjustmet you can do to the screws tro make them align better. do a search her for that. but if you have an 02-05 bird any 02-05 ford thunderbird hardtop will fit just fine.

or are you looking at buying a hardtop from someone offering one for sale? No aftermarket hardtops have been made to fit these cars so any you see on the market for the 2002-2005 are Ford Thunderbird 2002-2005 hardtops.
There is only one differnce in them. The 02's had a narrower rubber gasket/sealent along the botton of the top, where it sits on the sail panel. Some where, during the 03 run, a thicker rubber was added. FORD was hoping that would solve the chaving problem with them. It didn't work, so they finally came out with a bettr Mylar tape, and marketed it in a kit for apporx $85.00. But, ALL the tops 2002 thru 2005, will fit ALL the Thunderbirds. Just remember to clean the gasket well before installation of the hardtop and treat it with silicone. Wether you use a mylar tape, or any aftermarket brand of "protection".
I think the only hard top that hand differences other than paint was the 2002 Nieman Marcus top, with the special paint, TBird logo on the port hole glass and I think a Grey headliner instead of Black. Leroy
Ok Dave! You should know. I knew there were some Grey headliners out there becuase when I ordered a new front inside molding for my top I had to choose Grey or Black. Leroy
