  • 50 Degrees and rising

It hasn't been this warm here since around Christmas. I'm tempted to take the Bird out for a spin maybe tomarow. The snow is melting fast, I can see my drive-way and my roof. Still some snow on the lawn. The roads are dry except for some puddles from the melting snow, but the big concern is the pot holes. The thing I hate the most though is the salt, that stuff can eat up a car. That's the biggest reason I don't take mine out in the Winter. Leroy

Thinking of taking a top down cruise myself. It's 71 degrees here today.

I fully agree Leroy. Since mine is a daily driver it has to withstand that particular stuff. I try to keep it as clean as possible, but it isn't easy.
I can tell you though the Bird holds up fine after 4 years of Dutch road endurance, salt and wet weather. Specially the metal of the wheels keeps up better than most EU cars I have had before. Not a trace of wear is visible.

            60 Degrees and rising

60 degrees here in Chicago and Sue and I are going out for a little stroll. Taking the Bird out for the first time in over three months to dinner tonight. We saw a guy in a Mustang convertible with the "top down" this morning when it was only 50 degrees! I was jealous as the Bird has the hard top on and I couldn't try it!!

I believe we hit the high 60's to low 70's at Pappasitos-Dallas.

72 and rising here. Our few days of chilly weather are over. That means back to top down weather in our sunny, cool and dry season. The only salt down here is either in the ocean or a shaker. Ok, I know I'm a 'ball busser.'

Well its been nice here too! Today is suppose to be 59 and thunderstorms! Still won't take the bird out to much sand and salt! But it does make me eager for spring!

Beautiful weekend in NOVA, was 65 and sunny yesterday, took the Bird through the local automatic car wash [oh no, my Bird is ruined LOL] mainly to get the undercarriage washed, would have hand-washed it if not for that. Was going to do the interior at home, but decided to relax and enjoy the day instead.

We had a beautiful weekend down here, too, in the 60's, and it's supposed to last all this week. But, the cold weather can last through March. I'm just hoping it won't be what we call "severe" any more. Don't think I'd make it through the colder temps up north.
