OK, from the fact there were 3 Texas T-Bird events in one weekend we can surmise that there's interest. So now the question is... is there interest in an event that requires a little bit more of a drive?

So what about a Dallas -- Houston -- San Antonio event. There is probably a good 'ol Texan town located at the midpoint of all three. I think its probably about 2 1/2 hours from each of the major cities. Maybe something like Cameron or Rockdale. I've never been to either, but small Texas towns are fun. Or there is Temple which is a bit bigger and on 35.

Add your post to this thread if you are interested in a Tri-city meet in the next month or two.

Not much going on in Cameron or Rockdale. Salado???

Salado is a pretty neat little town. I had also suggested Waco on another thread. We've been to the Dr. Pepper Museum there, but haven't been to the Texas Ranger Museum yet.

I'm not from Texas, but have been there a number of times. New brunnfuls has a lot to offer in warmer weather, not sure about winter time. The other great place was off I10 north of San Antonio in the hill country. They have a museum and a lot off great shops. I believe it was Fredricksburg.

I'm interested, but I belong to three local Clubs and TBN. Dates are filling up fast on my Calendar, and Dot's.

Considerations include Boerne, Fredricksburg, Kerrville, Marble Falls and New Braunfels/San Marcus
          (listed in alphabetical order only)

My preference is New Braunfels/San Marcus, or Marble Falls
Further for N TX members, but worth the added time and miles.

I know of several Clubs meeting in Fredricksburg and Salado this Spring.

We were in Wimberly the other day visiting when the Austin Model A Club came through and had lunch. Beautuiful area of Texas. San Marcos is nice too.

Are you still in Texas Bill?

Wimberley, huh? I don't think I've ever been there, but I've heard it's nice.

5Bird7 & RedBirdSal I would look you up next week while in Texas, but won't be in your parts of the State. Will be in El Paso this weekend and Amarillo all next week & next weekend.

Dave, I bet if you plan a 2 or 3 overnighter this Fall in your area , you will get a bunch of TBNers to come. San Antonio would make a great destination.

Hmmmm. I could be "passenger" for a change. Besides, who needs to drive their toy ALL the time and not share the fun?

Not sure where we should try to meet, but definately think we should. Count me in.

Thanks for throwing the ball onto the court, Dave.
