Actually, Will in his post # 13 below referenced the price of $85---

What is meant by full chrome hood scope vs the stick on?

I believe the "stick on" is an aftermarket chrome piece that uses an adhesive tape to attach the new bezel to your existing bezel therefore negating the need for bezel removal. A full chrome bezel (from the Ford dealer) is a direct replacement for your stock painted bezel but it requires the original bezel to be removed first.

Did you notice if the clips were different from the original? Maybe Ford switched clips in earlier or later 2002. My original clips required compression from the inside unless you did not mind tearing out some hood material as the scoop was extracted.

Clips are the same as I recall. Yes, they do require compression but the back side of the clip is ramped (more aggressively than the install side) which allows the clip to be compressed as you slowly pry it out to remove it. The aggressive ramp though does make it difficult to remove this way requiring a higher force to remove than to install. This is why you need to be careful not to crack the old bezel or scratch the paint on the hood. I taped off the area around the bezel to cushion and protect that area and used rather wide plastic and wooden tools to remove. I am also a lifelong mechanic so I felt comfortable trying the exterior removal method which I read about here in this forum which did cause a very small amount of fiberglass tearout at one clip hole but nothing that would keep the new bezel from locking into place. These types of clips are fairly common moulding clips in the automotive world and are used in areas that you cannot access from behind and therefore require exterior removal. It is only the fiberglass material and the fact you can do a backside removal that makes the backside removal procedure preferred for the vehicle owner. It worked for me but I must admit that if you have the time the backside removal procedure is safer.

OK, Your old scoop clips were the same as the new ones and my new scoop also had the clips with ramps. The old one had clips like barbs, not ramps. It is like the the scoop should not ever need removing. I will take a picture of the old clips. Someone may also have posted the old clips earlier here. Look at post # 23.

This means Ford used both kinds of clips off and on for a while.
