Celebrity T-birds

I stumbled across this webpage and thought it was pretty interesting. At the bottom of the page is a listing of T-birds owned. The only Retro Bird listed is Katie Couric's '02 Torch Red. I wonder if she still has it? Details of Oprah's T-bird aren't listed, but I think I remember that she has had a red Retro Bird.

Opra had a red T'Bird in one of her segments where she took 'Bono' shopping and it had something to do with fund raising and red lipstick. The car got a lot of exposure but not sure if it was Opra's car.

I thought Travolta had a retro Bird too. Architectural Digest did a spread on his "spread" a while back, including the hangar adjacent to his house for his plane. I'm certain the long shots of the house showed both a retro and an early Bird in the driveway.

Opra had a red T'Bird in one of her segments where she took 'Bono' shopping and it had something to do with fund raising and red lipstick. The car got a lot of exposure but not sure if it was Opra's car.

I remember reading somewhere that Ford had given Halle Berry a Retro-bird. Originally they were going to give her a 007 Bird, but she didn't like the colors. If I remember the story correctly, they settled on black. Don't know if she still has it.

Katie Couric has long since gotten rid of her Torch Red '02. She used it, abused it, and thought about giving it to her oldest daughter, but didn't think it was safe for a teenager. Wonder who has it now?

I read that the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin has a retro. Can't verify it though.

I read today that her weight has fluctuated between 300 and 516 pounds.

On second thought, maybe she doesn't have a Bird.

Rosie O'Donnell sold her 02 IY or traded it as the car showed up on EBay 2 or 3 years ago with documentation offered by a FL Dealer.

Can't say I am sad she no longer owns a Retro, JMHO.

I wonder if Ralph Lauren still has his Neiman Marcus?

How about the 2002 007 Birds (the production cars were 03s)that were in the movie Die Another Day? I heard that one went to Halle Berry. I think there were two produced for the movie.

Skip, it's reported that Halle turned down that color and went for a black one. So far, no one has seen/photographed any actor in their bird other than Katie.

I have it that Oprah at one time had an 02 blue.

The red one used on the Oprah show a few years ago ended up coming from a local Ford dealer in Chicago.

Dot - Oprah drove her own 02 Blue bird on one of her shows. She was driving through a fast food drive up and was giving the worker the business. It was a show on customer service or something similar.
