Enjoyed it! Thanks for posting, Gene. Interesting body work on that one--Mercury tail lights, Fairlane trim, nosed & decked & all that. Illinois requires a front license plate but I suppose the cops look the other way for a special car like Norma's.

Kind of a shame to take a car so close to stock and tart it up....and that top is not from a '55. A bit of nostalgia....I had a '55 in '65. It was in pretty poor shape and I sold it to a guy in Vincennes Indiana who had it brought back to original. I remember most that it had a 6 volt electical system and if I didn't get it started on the first two tries it was a no go till a battery charge or a jump. It overheated like crazy but it was beautiful.

007Cruiser, Interesting thread. First time I've seen this car. Looks like it was very nicely done and I imagine very expensive. I wonder what kind of money it would bring in todays market. Probably not close to what was put in it. Just drive it and enjoy it. Leroy
