And I thought a dealer here had rocks in his head for wanting $34K for a coral 007 with even lower miles last year. We went and looked at it, took lots of photos and even sat in it. It was nice, but didn't capture my heart like the VMGs.
That local coral one eventually ended up on eBay, too. Went for a lot less than what that dealer had held out for most of the year. Maybe if they had been less arrogant and dismissive of serious inquiries they may have gotten closer to their asking price.
Yeah! I called that guy recently when it was still on auction. The guy was VERY VERY rude, he told me to F*** off and hung up on me when I told him and I quote "I'm gonna be honest with you, $51,000 is a lot (when I called he "lowered" the price "for me") for a '03 thunderbird even though its limited, it wasnt worth that much even when it first came out, I found one on ebay for $30,000" and thats when he said what he said, and I did find one for $31,000 and I bought it!:D
Back in 07 when I was looking for a TBird there was one at a Ford Dealer just outside of Chicago. It was an 04 that the owner had owned and drove on a dealer plate, but had never titled it. It had about 1500 miles on it and they wanted like $40K for it. And If I remember right they told me the Warranty would start when the car was sold. Does that sound right? Leroy
